Questions about switching from MyNesting
Is there an alternative to MyNesting Online?
Yes. Lescut nests DXF and SVG parts on flat sheets in the browser like MyNesting, with every job on its own cloud machine of up to 16 vCPU and no daily limit on nests. It adds kits, grain and flip rules, the lowest material cost across sheet sizes, and a REST API, and it also nests leather hides and fabric markers. Sheet plans start at €29 a month with a 7-day free trial.
How much does MyNesting cost compared with Lescut?
MyNesting lists Solo at $49 a month, Business at $150 a month and a Day Pass at $25, in US dollars without VAT. Lescut's sheet plans are Sheet Starter at €29, Sheet Pro at €49 with 5 users, and Sheet Enterprise from €199 with unlimited users and 10 jobs at a time.
Does MyNesting limit how many nests I can run?
MyNesting's terms allow up to 100 nesting calculations a day and 1,000 a month, and CAD uploads of up to 1 MB. Lescut has no daily cap: a plan includes engine minutes, a job uses the time it searches, and extra minutes can be bought when a month runs short.
Will Lescut nest my sheets better than MyNesting?
That depends on your parts, so measure it. Nest one of your orders in both during the free trial, or send us an order and the nest you have now through the free nest comparison, and count the sheets.
Can I move my MyNesting parts to Lescut?
Yes. Lescut reads the DXF files you upload to MyNesting, with their layers. Text on the drawing can set each part's name, quantity, rotation and flip, or you set them in the parts table after upload.
Does Lescut do common-line cutting?
Yes, for knife cutters. Switch on single cut in your cutter profile and nest at a 0 mm gap: straight edges that two parts share are cut once, and curves are never merged. Common lines that allow for a laser, plasma or router kerf, lead-ins and tool order stay with your CAM software; Lescut hands back a DXF and SVG per sheet with your layers.
